My paintings contain multiple layers of paper collage and acrylic or oil paint applied in thin glazes. I work on cradled panels that are resistant to warping and stand off the surrounding surface, making the painting “pop," and I finish my work in either an epoxy resin coating or oil-based matte varnish.
The collage materials used for each painting are carefully selected to enrich the visual image being portrayed through paint. I collect ephemera, photos, drawings, and writings that relate to the location, either in a suggestive, allegorical, or historical way.
My portfolio is organized by location. Click on the links to see selections of work from each of these series. Each piece has a special story, so take your time browsing.
