It is not uncommon to catch some modern day cowboys and girls riding horses on the trails that me and my family hike. This pair of riders were "horsing around" at Bobcat Ridge, where there is a horse ranch located on the property. I imagine in the collage materials that long ago, the horses used to run wild and free before the West was settled.
16 x 20, created with paper collage and oil on 1.5" cradled panel. Finished with an oil-based, archival retouch varnish. Collage wraps around the edges to create a finished edge that doesn't require framing. Wired and ready to hang.
