This field holds so much history.  Loveland, CO used to be known for it's sugar beet crops and this farm held rows and rows of them.  The shed in the painting is an old home for Russian migrant workers that would harvest the beets. As I looked at the scene in front of me, I imagined the daily routines of the family who lives in this small abode. These sweet fields providing their livelyhood for months during harvest season. The collage materials infused in the background include historical photographs of field workers as well as other documents pertaining to the farm.
