Collage Design for Beginners is a hands-on introduction to creating meaningful, visually compelling collage artwork using professional techniques. Guided by mixed-media artist Amelia Furman, you’ll learn how to select, prepare, arrange, and glue collage materials to create a unified 8×10 mixed-media piece. This course breaks the process down step-by-step so even brand-new artists can follow along with confidence. What You’ll Learn: How to prepare collage materials using tearing, cutting, and blade techniques How to choose and arrange pieces using core design principles How to create a balanced, unified composition How to properly glue and layer papers using heavy gel matte medium How to handle delicate materials like tissue paper How to finish, dry, and optionally seal your final artwork Course Materials Included in the Collage Design Art Kit 8×10 canvas Gluing mat 1.5” gluing brush Heavy gel matte medium X-Acto blade Pre-selected collage materials to create the project, plus additional materials for customization if desired.
