Learn with Amelia

Studio Sessions

Amelia offers private lessons in her studio for adult creatives who are curious about her process and want to dive deeper.  Lessons are tailored to the needs of each student.

$150 for a 3 hour sessions (weekly and monthly rates are available upon request) 

Collage Workshops

4 hour workshops geared toward helping students utilize collage design and techniques to powerfully visualize a word, dream or value that they want to keep in the forefront of the mind. Using art elements and principles of design, Amelia will guide students through: 

• Selecting paper materials to express their ideas.

• Effectively organize the text, patterns, and images into a pleasing artful design. 

• Gluing the collage materials to surfaces using tested methods Amelia has utilized for her fine art work over the last 20 years. 

$100/student,  all supplies are included.  No prior experience required for this class. 

Kid's Art Camps

I offer week long art camps for student artists, ages 8-12.   Working in my home studio, students have an opportunity to work with Amelia to learn new art techniques,  deepen their knowledge of artistic elements and principles and leave with an insatiable desire to keep creating.  Camps are 3 hours, 5 days, Monday - Friday.  $250/student, all supplies included.

Kid's Group Lessons

Amelia's group art lessons are for students ages 8-12 and include one on one instruction, class collaboration, and training in the medium of the student's choice: watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, or drawing. During the semester, students will receive training in technique, studio disciplines, and fundamentals in design principles.

$180/month (some general supplies included) 

Painting Workshops

Amelia offers 2-day workshops that allows students to experience her whole mixed media process from start to finish.  

Over the two day art adventure, students will learn: 

• How to “look” at a nature scene and find personal connections to speak about in a work of art.

• Selection of collage materials that visualize the personal connections.

• Designing and gluing the collage background.

• Layered painting over the collage in a realistic style.

• How to critique and evaluate a work of art in a gentle and growth-minded way.

$275/student, most supplies included.  Some painting experience suggested for this workshop.
