When I was seven, you locked the door and threw away the key to all the ways I would miss the mark in this life. You said it was done and dusted…nothing left to see and you beckoned me to follow you instead and leave that all behind. Instead, I just sat there and waited for that dumb door to open and ruin everything. I have stared at that locked door that holds all my mistakes, past, present, and future. I’ve feared it, put my own fasteners and barricades up to secure it “better,” but that means I need to sit there and tend to my fixes at all times. I’m so tired and now….
Now, I laugh at my ridiculousness. I laugh with sadness as I realize that if I would have simply trusted you like a child, I could have walked away from this place a long time ago. I laugh with glee at the understanding that you’ve never left, but were just waiting patiently until I saw how MY ways weren’t going to work and your simple word of forgiveness was all that was needed. Tears stream down my cheeks and my grin grows wide as I say goodbye and take hold of the same trustworthy hand that took charge of my life 37 years ago.

All my original paintings are designed for unframed presentation, however, deep profile traditional frames and floater frames add a lovely touch if framing is important for your aesethic.
The paintings are all created using light-fast oil paints and sealed with Gamvar Varnish for protection. My recommendation is to keep your painting in a climate controlled environment, away from consistent, high intensity lighting, and dust-free with a microfiber cloth.
