40 x 20, original mixed media painting created with paper collage and oil paint on cradled panel.
This piece was created with Colorado Springs Gazette newspaper from the 1920s. Ads and articles that create a snapshot of what was considered beautiful and valuable. Oh, the momentum of time. Newtown’s first law of motion says that objects in motion stay in motion at a continuous speed, but to me, it seems to me that time is moving faster and faster at a frenetic pace. Is there a way to slow things down?
Yeah. Nature. It reminds us that we all have the same amount of hours in a day, days in a week, and weeks in a year. That seasons change us, but there is death and life intertwined in our steps and that good growth takes patience and…time.
