Jesus,

I struggle to sit with the idea of sacrifice and I willfully run the other direction when faced with the reality of it.

The laying down of self. The willing, obedient pouring out of the things I hold dear. As I hesitate to write, my body and mind hitting up against my flesh, which warns…”this is too much, it’s going to hurt…” I hear your Spirit whisper… “it’s ok…I’m here.” And so this prayer moves in a different direction.

Help me, Spirit. When what I see in Jesus feels too hard to do and beyond my ability.

Help me, Spirit, to see past the loss and the temporary pain.

Help me, Spirit, to see the dying as a path to new creation and life.

Help me, Spirit, to trust that you know what you are doing as you ask me to sacrifice. That what you have in store is more beautiful than I can imagine and that it is for my good and for your glory.

All my original paintings are designed for unframed presentation, however, deep profile traditional frames and floater frames add a lovely touch if framing is important for your aesethic.

The paintings are all created using light-fast oil paints and sealed with Gamvar Varnish for protection. My recommendation is to keep your painting in a climate controlled environment, away from consistent, high intensity lighting, and dust-free with a microfiber cloth.
