After a very full and fun Christmas break, our family was flying back to CO from PA. The clouds were low and gray. The sky felt and looked heavy, kind of like our hearts as we left family and headed home to a new semester, new year at work and Christmas decorations that needed to come down.

We took off and for some reason, I decided to watch the whole take off. I usually don’t. We started climbing and we got to the low cloud cover and it was so thick. The plane kept rising…like it does, and the moment it broke through the top of the white and gray blanket, it was awe-inspiring. The sun was beaming and the top of the clouds were so brilliantly white. I sat back, got my book out and a smile crept on to my face. It was going to be ok.

All my original paintings are designed for unframed presentation, however, deep profile traditional frames and floater frames add a lovely touch if framing is important for your aesethic.

The paintings are all created using light-fast oil paints and sealed with Gamvar Varnish for protection. My recommendation is to keep your painting in a climate controlled environment, away from consistent, high intensity lighting, and dust-free with a microfiber cloth.
